Memórias das juventudes: mitos e crenças sobre a sexualidade

Abstract

A pesquisa intitulada “Memórias das Juventudes: mitos e crenças sobre a sexualidade” foi desenvolvida no processo de formação vivenciado no Mestrado em Memória Social e Bens Culturais do Centro Universitário La Salle. Seu objetivo geral foi desvelar a memória que os jovens, com idade entre 18 e 21 anos, do município de Canoas/RS, possuem sobre a sexualidade no que tange aos mitos e crenças apreendidos. A Casa das Juventudes, localizada no bairro Guajuviras, no município de Canoas/RS, foi escolhida como o lócus da pesquisa, pois esse é um espaço sociocultural, de convivência cotidiana de jovens. Os instrumentos de coleta de dados e informações foram: grupo focal e aplicação de um questionário on-line, com questões abertas e fechadas com jovens que frequentam o referido espaço. Participaram da investigação 14 jovens, sendo que 11 responderam ao questionário e 3 participaram do grupo focal. Foi realizada análise de conteúdo das narrativas que emergiram do grupo focal e dos dados e informações do questionário. Dentre os participantes, 64% eram do sexo masculino e 36% do sexo feminino. Com relação aos dados oriundos do questionário on-line, foi possível observar que 64% obtiveram conhecimento a respeito da sexualidade com amigos, 27% com a família e 9% em livros e revistas. Considerando os conteúdos captados no grupo focal e no questionário em relação aos mitos e crenças, surgiram os seguintes: a cegonha trazia os bebês; o pai colocava uma semente dentro da mãe; e quando a menina estava menstruada não podia lavar os cabelos. Quando questionados sobre a forma que acreditavam que deveria ser abordada essa temática com outros jovens, sugestões foram levantadas, dentre elas: falar com seriedade; utilizar termos científicos; trazer a realidade dos fatos; entre outros. Como resultado da pesquisa, foi construído um produto denominado “Vídeo Cartoon”, possibilitando o trato sobre a temática em audiovisual, que poderá ser disseminada em espaços virtuais, contribuindo com o acesso de jovens, adolescentes e educadores a informações coerentes e cientificamente comprovadas a respeito da sexualidade, a partir de uma abordagem educativa.

The search entitled “Memories of Youths: Myths and beliefs about sexuality was developed in the training process experienced in the Master´s degree of Social Memory and cultural heritage of the La Salle University Center. Its general objective was to unveil the memory that young people aged 18 to 21 years from the city of Canoas/RS have about sexuality in relation to seized myths and beliefs acquired. The House of Younths, located in the neighborhood of Guajuviras, in city of Canoas/RS was chosen as the place of research because this is a socio-cultural space of daily living young. The instruments for data and information collection were: focus group and an online questionnaire application with open and closed questions concerning young people who attend the mentioned space. Fourteen (14) youngsters participated the research, eleven (11) answered the questionnaire and three (3) participated that group. An analysis of the narratives that emerged from the focus group and the data and information of the questionnaire was held. Among the participants 64% were male and 36% female. In relation to data from the online questionnaire, it was observed that 64% learned about sexuality from friends, 27% from family and 9% from books and magazines. Considering the content captured in the focus group and the questionnaire related to myths and beliefs, topics like the stork being responsible for bringing babies, the father is the one who puts a seed inside the mother or girls who were menstruating could not wash their hair, emerged. When asked about how these people believed this issue should be addressed to other youngsters, the suggestions raised, among them were: having a serious talk, using scientific terms, bringing the reality of facts and others. As a result of the research, we built a product called "Cartoon Video", allowing the approach to the subject in audiovisual means, that can be disseminated within virtual spaces, contributing to the access of young people, teenagers and educators to coherent and scientifically proven information about sexuality from an educational approach.
